You find yourself standing at the bottom of a tall staircase that has led down to a subway station. The circular layout of the underground building is centered around an impressively thick pillar. All around the circle, several shorter staircases lead down to train platforms. Even though you are indoors, a misty fog spreads through the building, making the floor just a little slick, and partially obscuring your vision. Hazard cones and "Caution: Wet Floor" signs are placed every so often around the circle, to spread awareness of the danger.
An announcement comes over the speakers. The announcement speaks in Ingo's voice:
Attention, all passengers! Gear Station is currently undergoing renovations. Please proceed with caution. Unfortunately, our ticket machines are currently out of order. One of our Depot Agents is standing by to provide you with guidance and assistance. Do not hesitate to speak with him! We are working around the clock to serve you to the best of our ability, according to the standards our passengers expect. Thank you very much for your understanding. I hope you will ride with us again!
Sure enough, a station attendant is standing next to one of the supposedly out-of-order ticket machines (though the screen is lit up, like you could still interact with it). He has a cart with him that is carrying several Pokeballs, and he notices you, waving you down. "'Scuse me!"
There is also a subway map posted on the wall nearby.
Emmet smiles fondly, though that smile fades somewhat as he catches sight of the mist. Slowly. he steps over to the ticket machine where the attendant is. ]
The situation on the Victory Line train platform is very similar. It's densely foggy, with a train already pulled up, only one car open for entry. You can see behind the fog that there are photos in this train car, too.
is it a little ill advised to go alone when she has only lost battles so far? maybe. is that going to stop her from hopping onto a line by herself when they split, though? absolutely not. lucretia will throw hands with a pokemon herself if she must.
Well, he's going to approach the man first and foremost, since he's being flagged down. And he's also checking his belt for his Pokeballs, after the Feather Incident.]
[ Listen that really doesn't look out of order at all... he's staring at the ticket machine, arms crossed, but he will not argue someone waving him down. What else is new, really. He's rude though and doesn't look at the attendant. ]
lucretia returns to the station with frillish (blue) in tow and a pink-purple tablet in hand, pausing there; it seems best to regroup, after all, and make sure the others are all right if they've returned.]
Emmet? Hilda? Are you two here?
[or anyone who is Not emmet or hilda, because spacetime works in mysterious ways.]
[ HE IS BACK, back again. Once he returns to Gear Station, Emmet immediately approaches the depot agent, pokeballs for Drilbur, Ferroseed, Tynamo, and Joltik in hand. ]
She's trying not to feel overwhelmed by the newness of things like "subways" and such. But she recognizes that voice on the announcement at Ingo's at least, her ears perking up slightly.
Well, at least she's not by herself... She looks to Arthur and nods. ]
[He's finally back baby! Before anything else, he's going to head down to the Progressive Line to see if dealing with the Regressive Line had any effect on the state of the subway.
Anyone back on the platform at this time can also run into him!]
[So we meet again, ticket machine! Saturn and Sharpedo head up to it to take another look at the screen, and Saturn grabs all three plates out from his bag.]
Surely it doesn't have a cash or card slot big enough to fit these.
[Vicious steps off on the Pearl platform and looks around. This is a lot to take in for someone who has previously only seen a snowy wilderness!!
Snorunt, the two Sneasels and two Snovers are still out of their balls as they all walk out of the train, but he puts most of them back before ascending the stairs. Alpha Sneasel can still be Sneasel backpack, and he's still carrying Litten.
At length he wanders over to take a look at a ticket machine, since that at least looks familiar, even if he has forgotten the previous message about plates and definitely not connected it to the fact that he has a plate now.]
[Vicious walks up from the Nimbasa platform, huffing a bit as he glances over at the Progressive Line. He returns to the attendant.]
Didn't manage to get anywhere excitin'. Can ya heal my Pokémon again?
[Vicious hands them over. Feel better, snow babies.
While he does that, Vicious will now, three weeks into the palace and after acquiring 2/3 plates, finally look at the subway map. He walks close enough for Litten to help him read the labels.]
Awright! This is the third one! Time to get the... whatever-it-was! And then fight some more stuff!
[Vicious is in pretty good cheer. He still doesn't really understand what's going on, but at least all his Pokemon are badasses, and isn't that what's really important?
He takes the stairs up two at a time before returning to the ticket machine.]

"Heya, Boss! Real glad to see you here. Sorry about all the mess. Word is everyone gets a new Pokemon, and we wouldn't want to leave you out."
He hands you a Pokeball.
"You need any spares in case you run into anything wild? You're probably good with what you have, right?"
