Professor Laventon came from even further away than most of the others in the Galaxy Team. Maybe it was that faraway insight that made him such a visionary. He was clearly paving the way to the modern Pokemon trainer society that you remember, with his dedicated research and technological innovation. But also, he was just a nice guy. You would have helped him with his research anyway, but it was a nice bonus that he was so pleasant to chat with.
