[ She will take it happily, waving to the attendant as she heads back to the map, and then, addressing Dedenne: ] I'll be relying on your help, so please take care of me! Would you rather ride around in your ball or on my shoulder?
[ THIS IS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF HER LIFE she's going to settle her new friend on her shoulder, pulling up the map photo on her phone. ]
So! Where should we go first, I wonder... If this is inside Ingo's heart, then the Sphinx one is probably obvious, huh? How about the Victory line? That seems like an auspicious start.

Onto the Victory line, though! She's going to fiddle with the Pokedex too, because using one in person is very different from dealing with a video game interface. ]
You can hold it up to identify Dedenne, and it gives you any information on Dedenne you want to know. You will get the same info for any other Pokemon you choose to investigate (by scanning Pokemon in person or looking them up by name)!
You step down the stairs to the Victory Line, and see a train already pulled up to the platform. Only the first car has doors open for you to enter. The fog is thick in here... it's hard to even see the train in front of you.
[ She says it more to herself than anything, but having a little buddy riding on her shoulder means that she feels less silly about it. Still, she does not let the fog stop her; even though she goes more slowly now, tapping ahead of herself with a foot when she's unsure of the ground, she's still going to get on that train. ]
There's a confused chirp from Dedenne at her comment.
The train is a standard modern subway car. Above the seats, where advertisements would normally be in a train, there are instead photographs of different scenes, although the fog makes it hard to see them. They depict different scenes of people and Pokemon.
[ Automatically, she pets Dedenne's head at the chirp.
It's been a long time since she's been on a train, so she's more curious than anything, looking around before she picks a seat, looking at the photographs she can see from her vantage point. ]
You have to get close to see them, but if you walk around the car you can see the following photos:

As fans of trains, and fans of Pokemon battles, the Battle Subway was always your dream career. But rather than work your way up within it, you managed to get them to come to you. By taking the Gym Challenge, conquering the Pokemon League and Champion in an unofficial capacity, you made a name for yourselves. They scouted you. They called you the best of the best. It was with utmost pride and joy that you took the opportunity to prove them correct.
You weren't sure they would accept your proposal. Fighting the Elite Four and the Champion in Double Battle format? With both of you at once? It was a bold proposition for a couple of children to make to one of the most respected institutions in the region. But you were clear this wasn't for the title. You just needed to prove you could do it. It wouldn't be the same if either of you did it alone, leaving the other behind.
Now that you're an adult, you can see you had an edge due to the format. The Double Battle strategies aren't the same as Single Battle strategies, and of course all their teams were designed for the Singles format. But Alder didn't care. And he put up a fierce fight, too. A fierce fight, and a delighted, graceful loss. He was still the Champion, and would be for years to come. But you beat him.
[ She wanders back to her seat, mostly so she can peer out the windows now, trying to get an idea of where they're headed. Even if she doesn't know where they are, she wants to see. ]
As you sit down and prepare for the journey, the train departs. Sadly, it's a subway, so there isn't much in the way of scenery. But enjoy the flashing lights and signs until you appear at a glittering cave...
