You step down the stairs, and unlike the more modern train of last time, you see an old-fashioned, steam-powered train pulled up to the platform, ready for boarding. Only one car has doors open for you to enter. Thankfully, the fog is much less dense here.
The train is similarly old-fashioned inside, but there are photographs framed lining the walls of the train car. The photos are washed-out, as if done with outdated technology, even though the scenes depicted are from dynamic angles that don't seem like they would be possible with old cameras. They depict many different people and Pokemon.
The scenes depicted in the pictures include: - A girl with the Hisuian forms of Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurott. - A smiling merchant giving an animated pitch. - Ingo standing side by side with a strong-looking woman by a Pokemon battle court. - Cyllene, looking unimpressed behind a desk. - A professor with a lab coat and a warm-looking hat, inspecting an old-fashioned Pokeball. - An imposing man with a mustache. - Ingo doing his pointing pose with his Hisuian team of Pokemon around him. (Gliscor, Tangrowth, Machamp, Magnezone, Probopass, and Alakazam.)
You never thought you would meet someone who shared your circumstances, let alone a prodigy like Akari. Who was she, where she came from? Did she lose as much as you did? Was she respected for her knowledge there? She doesn't seem too concerned about it. She doesn't have as heavy a heart as you do, considering her life in Hisui, opposed to whatever came before. Or at least she's too bright and energetic to make it obvious if she does. Frankly, she deserves that kind of confidence in herself. This is the girl who confronted the highest of gods unflinchingly. She adapted to the dangerous environments of Hisui in record time. She has the drive and skill to do what needs to be done, no matter what it is. You can only assume that if she actually wanted to return home—she would be there now.
He was always polite and friendly, but... His indelicacy always rubbed you the wrong way. He wanted to know too much about things that hurt you to understand so little about. It was a relief when he gave up on you and moved on to the next conversational partner. They say he took his leave of Hisui forever. You hope he found whatever he wanted somewhere else.
You weren't sure how it would go, working so closely in concert with the Galaxy Team, but Zisu has been nothing but kind to you. You were happy to share her workplace and her part-time hospitality. The confident strength she possesses, and the passion she has for training people and Pokemon to be better and more well-rounded... Not only was it impressive, but it felt nostalgic. That energy helped to revitalize you, after you had been lulled into a routine. She helped you remember what kind of person you want to be, day by day.
Ori smiles to herself. These must be people that Ingo knew from whence he came... He seems to know many remarkable people, but that's just as well, given that he himself is a remarkable person.

Oh! This woman... I think I've seen her around before...?
It's impossible to tell how you stand with the Captain. She's far too intimidating, and you too socially awkward, to really be able to establish a mutual understanding. But she's taken charge of situations often enough, and successfully enough, for you to be able to trust her judgment. And she didn't abandon you when you were at risk. You owe her deeply for that. To think that she of all people followed you to the prison... At least you know you don't have to worry about her much.
[ Oh, she feels this one deeply. She's so easily intimidated by others, even when people are intimidated of her... But the most meaningful bonds she's made, both here and at home, were often with people who scared the shit out of here to start.
Whenever Arthur is finished with collecting his vibes, she glances around just to make sure Whimsicott and Tynamo haven't caused any kind of ruckus, and realizes Miss Clover is not on her shoulder... ]
Oh! When did you get up there, Miss Clover? Are you enjoying the view?
[ ... Because Miss Clover is perched prettily on one of Ori's horns! ]
It was a gradual journey to get there, but once you realized you could make your own team and train them to shine in battle, it was a quick plummet into catching dozens and dozens. After spending a few years feeling on the outside of everything, you really felt like this is what you were meant to do. Showing the world the joy and strategy of competitive battling... If you had stayed there, maybe you could have managed to make it your life's work, and forget the rest of it you were missing.
You didn't approve of his harsh stances, but you were not in a position to disapprove openly. Even the clan leaders had difficulty doing so. What business did he have bossing around the people who had lived here for years? But you must acknowledge that his project of exploring and cataloging the land has greatly expanded the knowledge everyone in the region has. And it's the Galaxy Team that is at the forefront of Pokemon battling. Commander Kamado acknowledged the potential you have in developing the practice, and pushed you to do more and try new things. Isn't that a selfish reason to cooperate with someone...? Well. You think now, he shows genuine remorse for his past behavior. It's not a bad thing to forgive someone for a misstep they acknowledge.
Professor Laventon came from even further away than most of the others in the Galaxy Team. Maybe it was that faraway insight that made him such a visionary. He was clearly paving the way to the modern Pokemon trainer society that you remember, with his dedicated research and technological innovation. But also, he was just a nice guy. You would have helped him with his research anyway, but it was a nice bonus that he was so pleasant to chat with.

The station seems to be clearly labeled. It shouldn't be too hard to find our way.
[ THEY GOIN'. Take us away whenever you're ready, o conductor. ]

[ now THIS, this seems more akin to something she would have seen in ye olde fantasy world, maybe,
Once again, she will take Arthur by the hand to lead them and their little gaggle of Pokemon to the one open car! ]

I thought that "galaxy" would have invoked something more akin to the last train.
[ It's not a real complaint. Onto the train they go! ]
