The train pulls up to a platform that is directly within the gates to a walled-off village. As in, the train just pulled up to block the entrance to the whole village. Hopefully nobody needed to get out of there. There's another ticket machine on the platform, if you wanted one.
It's an old-fashioned Far Eastern style village, as you might expect. You can see the high peak of Mount Coronet in the distance—though there is no rift above it. There are people out and about, browsing shops, sweeping, setting out their laundry. But they all stop and turn when a scruffy man runs out of the largest, most impressive building on the street. He looks this way and that before dashing towards the train platform.
He pauses once he gets a good look at you, flabbergasted. He's holding some books and papers that start sliding out of his hands. He hurriedly straightens them when he realizes they're slipping.
"—Well. Wouldn't you know it, I know a chap who looks just like you! It's almost as if I found a shiny Ingo!"
"Speaking of Ingo," he begins, nervously. "I was taking care of some of his Pokemon for him while he stepped out to the Coronet Highlands, because I had some observation data I wanted to record. But, er. It seems they're... out."
He gestures widely throughout the village. This again!
"It's fine! It's fine!! He's going to be gone for a while! A-And so our ace, the young miss Akari is going to come back and take care of all of those lost Pokemon in a jiffy! Any day now! Since she left before him, she's bound to come back sooner! So just be careful for a few days until she comes back!"
One of the books he's holding is the handwritten Pokedex binder, and he starts flipping through it quickly to show you visual representations along with his words, thinking you might need it.
"There's Magnezone... Probopass... and the last one is—Alakazam, here!"
"There are some very powerful Pokemon on the loose," he blurts out quickly. "And wouldn't you know it, my girl Akari is out surveying something or other. Until she returns to the village! Let's just... play it safe, now!"

"Can you?" He sounds surprised, but not shutting down the idea entirely. "How do you figure? I did mention that they are very advanced in levels, did I not?"
"I'm fine! Everything is fine, actually! The only slight problem is that there are some high-level Pokemon that have escaped. But—but there's no reason to believe that they will be doing anything to anyone! And our girl Akari is going to be back to the village any moment now, to help clear this all up! So no one be alarmed!"
"Then—I will at least let you know what you are in for! You'll be looking for..."
He's holding a hand-written and hand-bound binder—an old-fashioned Pokedex—and starts flipping through it quickly in order to show you the correct pages.

"DON'T PANIC!!" he says, mildly panicking.

He is commenting on your distinctly non-human features, obliviously.
"But I must stress that they are very advanced in levels. There's a chap named Ingo who raised them..."
no subject
Oh! We're friends of Ingo's. Perhaps if Arthur and I work together as a team, we can help take care of this outbreak...?
no subject
Yes, exactly. You need but point us in the right direction and we'll do all we can to help.
