"I'm fine! Everything is fine, actually! The only slight problem is that there are some high-level Pokemon that have escaped. But—but there's no reason to believe that they will be doing anything to anyone! And our girl Akari is going to be back to the village any moment now, to help clear this all up! So no one be alarmed!"

Ah... is there aught we might be able to help with in the meantime? I've some experience in dealing with wild beasts.

[ And they do have Pokemon! ]

"Experience... Well, you do look like you must both be big fans of them!"

He is commenting on your distinctly non-human features, obliviously.

"But I must stress that they are very advanced in levels. There's a chap named Ingo who raised them..."

[hearthwarming]

[ What features? Don't you see their very cute outfits? They blend in so perfectly! ]

Oh! We're friends of Ingo's. Perhaps if Arthur and I work together as a team, we can help take care of this outbreak...?

[ They are two totally normal people. ]

Yes, exactly. You need but point us in the right direction and we'll do all we can to help.

"Then—I will at least let you know what you are in for! You'll be looking for..."

He's holding a hand-written and hand-bound binder—an old-fashioned Pokedex—and starts flipping through it quickly in order to show you the correct pages.

"Magnezone... Probopass... and Alakazam!"

[hearthwarming]

[ She is trying VERY hard to remember what Ingo had told her about types and advantages... she really should have written it all down somewhere. ]

I have Whimsicott and Tynamo here with me... Oh! I think Whimsicott might be good against Pr... [ squints at the binder. ] Probopass?

[ Arthur has a very good memory, at least. Perhaps he's a little more on top of it. ]

'Tis quite the trio. I think with our combined strengths, we will be able to do well.

Do you know where we may begin our search, Professor?

[derailer]

He nods as if he is going to help give you advice, but then realizes... "What in the world is a Tynamo or a Whimsicott?—I'm sure it will be fine! Anyway! ...I doubt they've left the village, but I don't know where they could be, other than that."

[hearthwarming]

[ She glances at Arthur, and gives a decisive nod. ]

Then we should start searching here in the village.

[inklongdry]

Indeed. Clover, would you be able to provide us with an aerial view?

[ The faerie, still perched on Ori's horn, gives a quick nod and flits off to the sky above the village to do some recon. ]

Thank you, Professor. We shall take it from here.

[derailer]

"Oh, no! I'm the one who must offer my gratitude to you!"

One thing that is immediately obvious from an aerial view is that Magnezone—who can also fly—is hovering around the roof of the tall Galaxy Hall building that stands in the center of the main street you're on.

[hearthwarming]

[ Ori will watch Miss Clover and wait dutifully for a little faerie flight report! And pick scoop Whimsicott up into her arms in the meanwhile, because she has a feeling they would run off to cause mischief... ]

[ Clover does indeed zip back to report, doing her best pantomime impression of Magnezone and pointing at the building in question. It's very cute. ]

It seems we've our first quarry. Do you think we'd be better served by leading it away or confronting it where it is?

[hearthwarming]

[ Miss Clover is ALWAYS so cute... But Ori hums, thoughtfully. ]

I think we ought to at least lead it closer to the ground...

[ She glances at Sirfetch'd, with his lil' shield and lil' leek sword. That's a melee fighter if she ever saw one... ]

[ He glances over at his Pokemon. ]

Ah, yes, a good plan. Let's see what we can do.

[derailer]

Your Pokemon are ready to help!

The Professor suggests, "Well, perhaps if you were to attract its attention somehow?"

[hearthwarming]

[ Almost as if on cue, Whimsicott starts wriggling around in Ori's arms. ]

Hm? You want to help, Whimsicott? Okay, be careful!

[ It leaps out of her arms and then goes to blast Magnezone with Gust!

Before it will try to bounce back behind Sirfetch'd or something because it's just a lil Grass/Fairy type, help ]

The Gust barely affects Magnezone, but it does wobble a little in midair. It turns around, not being able to identify the source.

[inklongdry]

[ Well... Arthur just puts his fingers to his lips and whistles. Very loud. ]

Oi! You're looking for us!

[ He'll get the hang of this pokemon thing eventually. ]

[hearthwarming]

[ Oh, well, that was a wash. She briefly wonders what would happen if she tried to use Wild Shape in here... would it just turn her into a Pokemon, if anything...?

But oh! Arthur's whistle is very loud indeed! Tynamo and Whimsicott follow suit, and offer their own little Pokemon cries. ]

[derailer]

Aha! Magnezone pings onto the group, and floats down.

But also, it assumes you're provoking it into a battle, so its magnets spin with an electronic cry! It's ready to attack! You will have to roll to defeat it!

[hearthwarming]

[ Oh, this is so much more scary than back in the simulator room!?!?! Ori gasps, and so does Whimsicott (in its own little way), and it also cries out in a very damsel-y way!

Arthur is coming in with the actual roll, Team Whimsicori (and Tynamo) are just here to provide the spice of life! ]

[ SIRFETCH'D TO THE RESCUE (with an 11 roll). It jumps between Whimsicott and the approaching Magnezone with its shield held up, ready to defend against any oncoming attack!

It will then follow up with a Brick Break in retaliation! ]

It's super effective! Magnezone reels from the hit, wobbling in the air, and the force makes it recognize that it was foolish to be aggressive in the first place. Maybe this is just a misunderstanding. It droops down close to the ground, not showing any more signs of fighting.
