Oh, I don't know. Given that a great number of Pokemon look like flora, I wouldn't be surprised.

Unfortunately, it's nowhere near tropical enough here to have palm trees. After heading out the gate and walking across a grassy path, you see a relatively short stretch of sand between some rocky cliffs. A simple wooden dock extends into the chilly water.

But Alakazam is meditating at the end of the dock!

Ah, there it is. Mayhap we can reason with it as we did with Probopass. What do you think, Ori?

[ says lady with repeated participation in "murder hobo" behavior on her registry

she calls out: ]

Hello, Alakazam! Sorry to disturb your meditation, but would you be amenable to us escorting you back into the village, to the good Professor? He is looking for you!

Alakazam turns around, and tilts his head, legs crossed in midair. He can tell that you two definitely aren't human or Pokemon, and he is trying to decide if he should care about that, or distrust you.

[inklongdry]

I promise we mean no harm. We're only here to see you safely returned to the Professor.

[ Sirfetch'd steps forward to agree. They're here to help! ]

Alakazam is cautious, but steps down onto solid ground as some sort of peace offering. He sees no signs of aggression in you, so he will accompany you for now.

[hearthwarming]

[ For now... ]

This is going well!

[ With a smile and a nod at Arthur, they'll start to make their way back to where the Professor was from the beach. ]

Since your intentions really are kind, Alakazam has nothing to suspect, and you make it back through the town without incident. By the time you make it back to the Professor, though, Akari has arrived, standing nearby and chatting to him. She turns around as you approach.

"Oh, nice! It looks like you didn't need my help at all! That's cool!"

Well, you've the help of a pair of seasoned adventurers on your side. We're glad to be of service.

[derailer]

"Ooohhh, seasoned adventurers," she says, playfully. "Does that mean you'll battle me?"

Er... with Pokemon?

[derailer]

"Yeah, with Pokemon! You have them, don't you?" She points at Sirfetch'd.

[hearthwarming]

Oh... A real Pokemon battle!

[ wait, why is she excited!? She wants to see Sirfetch'd in battle and doesn't think she's part of this is why, ]

Is two against one really fair?

[ Meanwhile, Arthur just assumes Ori is Part Of This ]

"You'll see. Two against one is just fine with me." Ori is the only one who didn't get the memo.

[ It doesn't really hit her until Whimsicott bounces out of her arms. ]

"I mean, I could also take you both on separately... But that's not as fun, right? They haven't invented the rules yet! We can do whatever we want!"

Then I see no reason why we should refuse. Right, Ori?

[ The station attendant said battles will help, right? ]

R...Right, Arthur! Then let's... Face her together!

"Let's go to the Training Grounds!"

She rushes down the street to a hill at the end, where a battle court is set up. Zisu, a strong woman from the photos of this place, is here watching. Akari runs over to the far side of the court.

[ Arthur exchanges a look with Ori, then shrugs, and follows after her. Pokemon and faerie in tow. ]

"All right! Let's see who comes out on top!"

She was unconcerned about the matchup because she's sending out three Pokemon at once: the Hisuian forms of Typhlosion (Fire/Ghost), Samurott (Water/Dark), and Decidueye (Grass/Fighting).
