[ Once again Clover takes to the sky to scope out the place! ]

There's nothing that pops out to Clover quite as immediately as Magnezone did. There's a Pokemon—! Wait, that's a Graveler. Not one of the ones on the list. Other Pokemon are working the fields, but none fit the description. There are some shops, a training ground, residences with laundry hanging out behind them—along with a strange statue...? A back gate to the walled village leads out towards a peaceful beach, but Clover would have to fly over there to see anything on it.

[hearthwarming]

[ Ori scoops Whimsicott back up into her arms, and once Clover returns with her report... ]

Hmm... Should we investigate the strange statue? They're usually a good place to start, in my experience...

You squeeze through the buildings to see it. Looking at it in person, and not from an aerial view, it looks really, really, really similar to what Probopass looked like in the Pokedex photo.

Oh...? It looks like Probopass! Let's take a closer look. Stay on your guard in case there are traps, okay, everyone?

[ So many rigged statues in her lifetime... But yes, she will examine the statue more closely! ]

[ Arthur follows along, Joltik on one shoulder and Sirfetch'd marching in front. Clover flutters along behind him. ]

Oh! It does, doesn't it? Hiding in plain sight.

[ Sirfetch'd reaches up to poke it a little with its leek sword. ]

Probopass pops her helmet up, revealing her eyes peering down at Sirfetch'd. Is this an act of aggression...?

[ Sirfetch'd jumps back, shield raised. He was just checking to see if you were a statue, Miss Probopass! ]

She swishes her faux-mustache, curious about the intrusion. She isn't yet getting up.

[hearthwarming]

Ummm... Probotoss, we have word that you are an... escapee? Is there a chance you would come with us peacefully?

[derailer]

She tilts to the side a little in confusion. Come where?? But she doesn't seem opposed.

[ He motions for her to follow. They'll lead her back to the professor if she's willing. is this an escort quest ]

[ Oh! This is going smoothly (?)... she almost feels bad for engaging the other Pokemon in battle first. She didn't know Diplomacy was an option! But Ori mirror's Arthur's gesture, in hopes that the Pokemon will follow! ]

She lifts up off the ground to follow without incident. Apparently diplomacy is sometimes an option! The professor will happily take custody of her too.

[ Then after dropping her off— ]

Well, now that we've taken care of that, I propose we head toward the beach. 'Twas the only area Clover was not able to see. It could be where our last errant Pokemon is hiding.

Let's go! I wonder what beaches are like in this world... Would the palm trees be Pokemon, too...!?

[ off they go!! ]

Oh, I don't know. Given that a great number of Pokemon look like flora, I wouldn't be surprised.

[ Can't wait for them to see an Exeggutor one day.

But yes, they're heading to the beach. ]

Unfortunately, it's nowhere near tropical enough here to have palm trees. After heading out the gate and walking across a grassy path, you see a relatively short stretch of sand between some rocky cliffs. A simple wooden dock extends into the chilly water.

But Alakazam is meditating at the end of the dock!

Ah, there it is. Mayhap we can reason with it as we did with Probopass. What do you think, Ori?

Hello, Alakazam! Sorry to disturb your meditation, but would you be amenable to us escorting you back into the village, to the good Professor? He is looking for you!

Alakazam turns around, and tilts his head, legs crossed in midair. He can tell that you two definitely aren't human or Pokemon, and he is trying to decide if he should care about that, or distrust you.

[inklongdry]

I promise we mean no harm. We're only here to see you safely returned to the Professor.

[ Sirfetch'd steps forward to agree. They're here to help! ]

Alakazam is cautious, but steps down onto solid ground as some sort of peace offering. He sees no signs of aggression in you, so he will accompany you for now.
