She tilts her head, and then steps forward. If you're inviting her along, she sees no reason not to join you, even if she will abstain from the fights.

The Luxray growls as you approach, aggressive.

Litten, ya wanna stretch yer legs a bit?

Litten does automatically stretch his legs and stand up in response to the question, prepared to take on this challenge! +3 cheater.

Go quiet that guy down, then!

[Litten gets a 9.]

Luxray is faster—she bites down with a Thunder Fang that paralyzes Litten. Litten is able to take her down with his flames, but the paralysis doesn't wear off that easily. He is reluctant to crawl back onto Vicious after the battle is done.

[stirtheblood]

[nooooooo]

Litten! Are ya alright?

[He crouches down to pet Litten and check him.]

Some lingering electricity shocks you a tiny bit, on the level of static electricity. Litten is overall fine. But the paralysis isn't going to go away on its own. He is going to find it harder to move. But he appreciates the fussing.

[stirtheblood]

[Vicious jumps at the shock, withdrawing his hand for a second, but then frowns and obstinately picks Litten up, cradling him in his arms. He seems okay, but Vicious is still not happy about it. Litten should be invincible!!]

...Well, let's keep goin'.

[He will carry Litten as they proceed up the path.]

As you continue, there are only more Electric-type Pokemon—a bunch of Electabuzz surrounding an alpha Electivire. In this narrow valley, it would be difficult to avoid attracting the alpha's attention unless you climbed the cliffs to travel above him.

[stirtheblood]

[As if Vicious would ever avoid a fight.]

...That one looks pretty tough, huh? Who wants to give it a try?

[He looks around at the rest of his Pokemon.]

[derailer]

Alpha Sneasel seems eager to topple another alpha, raising a claw.

[stirtheblood]

Awright! Go for it!

[derailer]

I took this long to pick up the thread so I decided to just roll the dice on my own. However, she got a 5+1, because of the -1 all Pokemon get while facing an alpha. Better luck next time.

Sneasel swipes at Electivire with a Poison Jab, trying to weaken him and bring him down with the status effect. But Electivire is just as capable of striking back with status effects. He hits her with a Strong-style Thunder, which not only hits harder, but paralyzes her more effectively as well. She is a sitting duck.

Sneasel! Tch, cheap shot!

[Not any cheaper than Sneasel's shot actually. But Sneasel should win!! She's strong!!

Vicious tucks Litten under one arm so he can jump into the fray and scoop Sneasel up as well, leaning her against his shoulder. He moves with a lot more agility than he is consciously aware of having.]

The other Pokemon balk at this sight. This Electivire is clearly not to be messed with. But when no one steps up to fill the void, Snorunt steps forward, shivering but intent. He gained a level earlier, so he can still have a +1, even in the face of an alpha!

[stirtheblood]

[Even Vicious can tell this looks a little mismatched. But Snorunt wants to try and that's the important part!! Snorunt is strong too! Punch the Electivire in the face!!]

Yeah! You got this! You took out that other scary-looking guy, I bet you can do this one no problem too!

[It looks like Snorunt will have a little bit of a problem, but he does get a 7.]

Snorunt takes an electrified punch, flying into a snow drift. But he stands back up and comes right back with an Ice Punch in return. Take that!! Punch the Electivire in the face!!

[stirtheblood]

[Vicious pumps a fist in the air.]

Yeah!! Just like that!! Badass!

Unfortunately, when Electivire falls, the two Electabuzzes that were surrounding it move to retaliate. These, you could probably outrun if you tried. But you are probably not going to do that.

[stirtheblood]

[Vicious is not going to do that.]

Ha! Ya want some too? Snovers, ya wanna show 'em what ya've got??

[I rolled 2d6+1 twice and I got 12 twice...... DOUBLE SNOVER POWER]

Former alpha minions aren't going to be taken by surprise by these alpha minion tricks! Almost in sync, the two Snovers stop the Electabuzzes in their tracks with Icicle Crash.

You do already have six Pokemon companions, but no one is enforcing the rules here, so no one is stopping you from also trying to convince them to join you. Though they will remain hurt for now.

[Vicious assesses the Electabuzzes.]

...Hn, you guys got spirit, though. Seems like we ain't goin' much further, but there'll prob'ly be an excitin' show up top, if ya wanna tag along.

Vicious continues to be the substitute alpha for all these lost little Pokemon. They nod and continue with you on your way. Lady Sneasler, for one, finds this mass of followers you are amassing quietly amusing, snickering to herself as you progress.

It's only a short walk further to the cave...

Except the clouds start swirling overhead, and the sky seems to burst open into an electrified bubble. The air smells crisp in a way that is different from the normal mountain air. A space-time distortion is forming!
