"These Pokemon are not real. They are illusions of the human's mind, though they may reflect his feelings for thee, or his perception of thee. But thy feelings for them are not hollow. That power is meaningful. And it will restore to thee the bonds with others in the waking world."
Whaddaya mean, they're not real? They're right here. Why should I care more about bonds with people I don't even remember who are off somewhere else than the Pokemon that've been helpin' me out the whole time?
[In the course of this argument Vicious forgets to be skeptical that he has feelings for his Pokemon.]
"Have I instructed thee to abandon thy love for these children? That is unnecessary. I will use thy power without trespassing upon thy emotions. But either way, thou wilt not be able to touch them or see them any longer. This is fate."
[Vicious pets Litten automatically, but once he realizes what he's doing he is brought back around to thou wilt not be able to touch them and he frowns deeper.]
...This is stupid, is what it is. You're usin' all that thee-and-thou shit to dress it up, but the whole thing is dumb.
"I will not stop thee from trying to defy fate, after everything is over. Perhaps if thou art resourceful and dedicated, thou canst find a way to have everything thou desirest one day. Even bringing forth abstractions into reality. For now—"
The other Pokemon start gathering more closely around you, because they are starting to sparkle ominously.
[This threat loses some of its bite by the fact that Vicious is not even looking at Arceus in favor of fussing over his Pokémon. He quickly places Litten back on his head so he can attempt to gather everyone else back into their places too, sparkles be damned.]
Litten hops right back off your head to rest on your shoulder. He's been comfy there until now, but he doesn't want to be out of your sight right now, meowing insistently.

[Vicious sounds a bit skeptical even as he continues hugging Litten close and looks over at his other collected Pokemon wistfully.]

Litten leans in, purring soothingly.
