This time, Arceus won't just take it. It changes type to Water, dousing Litten with a powerful wave in its divine Judgment. Litten won't be deterred, though. He retaliates with a Bite until Arceus backs off again!
Abruptly, Arceus disappears from view entirely. How ominous... There's no way it's over just like that, right?
Litten shakes himself off, trying to get rid of some of the excess dampness.
You hear a sound like glass shattering. As you are turning, you see a crack in the fabric of reality itself behind you—if something emerged from that crack, it would probably come straight towards you!
[Vicious dodges only at the last movement, arm swinging in a way that would hit Arceus with his gun's blade if he was holding his guns or even remembered that he had them.
He does manage to properly throw an orb with the other hand, at least.]
Arceus stumbles with the force of being hit while traveling at this velocity, veering off course. As Arceus gathers itself, Litten is prepared to attempt the finishing blow. He was hurt earlier, and so he can only manage a +1 now, with Arceus being Water-type, but he wants to try until the end!
This time, the wave that overpowers Litten sweeps him far away, almost to the edge of the platform hanging in the sky. With Litten being so small, it's hard to even see him from here, to know if he fell or not. The other Pokemon look on in shock.
While you're tending to Litten, the rest of your Pokemon companions have seen fit to make a circle around Arceus—as pointless as it may be when Arceus can disappear into thin air.
The female Snover looks over her shoulder at you as she hears you speak, trying to make eye contact. She's confident that she has the best chance right now, but she's still seeking your permission to act.
Snover leaps up, raising her hands to bring them crashing down in a powerful Wood Hammer. The force cracks her wooden body a little, but Arceus staggers back instantly.
"...I see. I have witnessed thy determination. Thou and thy team would fight until the very last moment. I need nothing further from thee, except to know thy desire."
[Vicious straightens as he realizes Arceus is done fighting, still holding Litten close to his chest.]
I wanna keep battlin'. You or whoever else. With these guys, or...
[He trails off. He feels like continuing to fight with these Pokemon is not going to be an option, somehow, and he feels weird about it, at the same time he feels like there are definitely other people he wants to fight with.]
Well, anyway, this was fun. I wanna keep havin' fun.
[another pause.]
...But I do also wanna know what I'm forgetting. I bet there's fun stuff in there too.
"I can sense that thou hast had many battles in thy time. And thou hast had many amusing and inspiring encounters as well. They are not all my stories to know... Even I, in my magnificence, may be humble in the face of vast eternity. But I shall present thee, a guest in the Original One's presence, with a deal. I shall convert thy bonds with these Pokemon into energy, and this energy shall present thee with thy lost memories. The human Ingo shall experience the same."
"These Pokemon are not real. They are illusions of the human's mind, though they may reflect his feelings for thee, or his perception of thee. But thy feelings for them are not hollow. That power is meaningful. And it will restore to thee the bonds with others in the waking world."
Whaddaya mean, they're not real? They're right here. Why should I care more about bonds with people I don't even remember who are off somewhere else than the Pokemon that've been helpin' me out the whole time?
[In the course of this argument Vicious forgets to be skeptical that he has feelings for his Pokemon.]

Then he glances back up to see Arceus gone, and then turns in a quick circle looking around for it.]
