[Vicious sighs.]

Well, whatever. C'mon, Litten.

[Litten goes back on Vicious's head and he makes sure all his other Pokémon are accounted for before heading for the bridge]

You first come across a large, stately building. But through the fog, you can see the movement of something near the double doors. Your ragtag group of Pokemon seem to notice it there, watching it intently as it moves down the front steps and around towards the back of the building. It's wide and round, too abnormally shaped and moving too differently to be a person...

[stirtheblood]

Hmm. Ya think we should follow it?

[Vicious directs this comment at random towards Snorunt, who is easier to make eye contact with currently than Litten or Sneasel. And he starts walking in that direction without waiting for an answer.]

[derailer]

Snorunt was mostly observing, but at being addressed this way, he seems to think it is an implicit call to action. Vicious is relying on him to catch this Pokemon! He nods and waddles forwards with determination towards the mysterious shadow. Though the others also follow you.

[stirtheblood]

[Cute. Vicious leads the way around the building with Snorunt at his heel.]

[derailer]

When you get close enough, and corner it against the building, you can see it is a Klinklang. It whirls its gears around menacingly.

Snorunt did not learn from Snover, and is not thinking about how Ice is poorly matched against Steel. He was called upon, so he is willing to fight, even if it's only 2d6 with no bonuses!

[stirtheblood]

[In this house we do not learn from our mistakes, we leap into battle face first without thinking.]

Yeah! Get 'im!

[Snorunt's enthusiasm carries him, and he gets a 9.]

[derailer]

Klinklang's Gear Grind gets Snorunt good, but Snorunt retaliates with an Ice Fang that just so happens to freeze it. After that, Klinklang's HP is easily depleted while it's defenseless. Snorunt spares it at the end just so it can defrost and follow them when needed.

Praise Snorunt!! He runs over to Vicious to accept coddling.

[stirtheblood]

Ha! Nice goin'! That one looked tough!

[Good job fierce little Snorunt!! Vicious picks him up to celebrate, looking him over too.]

[derailer]

His little cloak seems to be roughed up from being caught in the gears. But overall he seems okay.

Klinklang does defrost, slowly spinning its wheels, no longer as aggressive.

[stirtheblood]

[Vicious turns to the Klinklang. It's a little bit harder to read.]

Chilled out some? Heh. Think ya can stay cool enough while we round up everyone else?

[derailer]

Klinklang bobs in midair, showing its assent. It will follow along with you for now!

You went around the building chasing Klinklang, so you're pretty sure nothing else is hiding here. There's another building across the street with a vibrant roof, though. It's a Pokemon Center! Litten meows when he recognizes it.

[stirtheblood]

[Vicious tilts his head up at Litten.]

Ya wanna check that one out? Let's do it, then.

[To the Pokemon Center!!]

[derailer]

If you go inside the building, there aren't any lost Pokemon around. But there is a nurse cheerfully standing next to a healing machine.

"Welcome! Do you need healing for your Pokemon?"

[stirtheblood]

Oh! Sure, yeah! Few of 'em got a bit banged up...

[He has to return Snorunt and alpha Sneasel to their Pokeballs, but he hands them over. He's getting the hang of this!!]

[derailer]

She heals your Pokemon and hands them back to you.

"It's no problem. Come back any time you need!"

The unharmed Pokemon have been looking around just to make sure, but there's no sign of any missing Pokemon in here, so they'll just mill around until everyone is ready to leave.

[stirtheblood]

Anytime, huh? That's handy.

[The easy availability of healing eases Vicious's worries over his Pokemon being hurt, a bit. He heads back outside and lets them all out of their balls again.]

Alright, back to it! Still three more to find, right? Plenty of time for more of ya to show off.

[derailer]

A Sneasel flicks his ear-feather as he hears a sound from around the corner, to the side of the Pokemon Center. He's going to be the one to investigate and show off this time! He rushes over there preemptively.

[stirtheblood]

Heh.

[Vicious follows his lead, heading around the corner.]

[derailer]

It turns out Crustle is hiding behind the building. He can't quite blend in when there are few huge rocks in the city normally. Sneasel is going on the offense! At least this isn't as terrible a matchup as the last one. Sneasel can manage a 2d6+1.

[stirtheblood]

Awright! Let's show that rock what you've got!

[He gets a 7! A solid showing.]

[derailer]

Of course Crustle knows Earthquake, and is going to use it to do decent damage to Sneasel. But Sneasel won't be brought down! He has the great idea to use Brick Break on this big ol' brick, and he's going to keep doing that until Crustle relents!!

[stirtheblood]

Ha! Yeah! Beat him down!!

[Vicious is an excellent cheerleader, and once Crustle is subdued he goes over to give Sneasel a pat on the back.]

Nice moves!

[derailer]

Sneasel is tired and scuffed, but he starts purring with the contact, preening. The alpha Sneasel makes a short and jealous noise.

There are other bridges that lead to some much larger buildings you can see the shadow of, even through the fog.

[stirtheblood]

Hey, you've both got nice moves.

[That's to the alpha Sneasel. Vicious straightens.]
