[she glances back toward the entrance with her brow furrowed, finding a place to settle for the moment.]

We'll need to get moving once the night passes, regardless; if you have any idea what direction they might have gone, we can head that way.

Quite frankly, I'm a little worried about letting them stay out there alone for another night. They might be a little more prepared to handle the elements out there than we are, but all the same...

[ Well, she's a Servant. She can handle any kind of weather. ]

I agree with heading in that same direction, though. The least we can do is try to rendezvous with your party.

"It's not just a matter of the elements," Irida says firmly. "You said it yourself. There are wild Pokemon all over. But—if you have Pokemon of your own..."

Irida looks down at the floor. It's a lot to ask of some strangers.

"...I think they might have headed to the south, past Avalugg's Legacy. Oh—that's a tall platform of ice. You really can't miss it, even in a storm. But please, don't feel any obligation. In the worst situation, I don't want to add any more casualties."

We'll be all right. I assure you, we can handle ourselves well enough.

[south, is it... she makes note of that, considering, as she glances back to da vinci.]

I don't particularly want to wait too long, either, but elements aside-- we can't rely on ambient light in a storm. If we're going into unfamiliar terrain, it's much riskier in the dark, even with Sigilyph to keep watch... and we'd need enough of a light source. One that can't be blown out by the wind. Failing that, we'd be working on limited time until we lose the last of the daylight.

"We can get you a lantern," she offers, "but that's not going to be truly safe from the wind... What if I sent my Flareon with you? He could make sure it stays lit."

Sounds good to me! I'm fine with risking it with one more furry friend, if you are, Lucretia.

I think that would make it a much safer proposition, yes.

[pokemon labor is nice, it would just be easier with magic... honestly, little friends are not at all a bad replacement for spells though.]

In that case... if you're all right with sending him along, we'll go see what we can find.

She nods. "I trust him."

So while she turns to get a lantern—and several jars of something—she whistles towards a corner, and a Flareon comes trotting out. There don't seem to be Pokeballs in use here.

Aww, aren't you cute? [ Look how fluffy he is!! ]

I think this'll work out nicely. Thank you, mysterious benefactor.

[ She knows her name. But still. ]

[leaning down to give flareon a little pat, if he allows it... good boy.]

After she hands you the lantern—whoever's closest to receive it—she gives you five jars packed in a satchel.

"These are potions. Please make sure to keep your Pokemon safe on the journey. And I'm sorry I didn't even introduce myself... I've been so harried. My name is Irida. I'm the leader of the Pearl Clan. I would be honored to have your names... and if one of our Wardens happens to return here from their post, I'll let them know your names and send them out after you."

A potion will heal 1 damage per potion. Use them wisely!

[ She'll take the lantern, lowering her head in a quick and cheerful nod. ]

You can call me Da Vinci, and this is Lucretia. Thanks for all your help, Irida!

We'll try not to get ourselves lost, then. Thank you, Irida.

[bless, they might need those. if da vinci has the lantern, she'll hang on to the satchel on their way.]

"Thank you... Thank you so much. May the Almighty Sinnoh's blessing be upon the both of you."

Irida bows deeply to you. Flareon lets out a cry, and then trots out of the tent area to lead the way down.

It turns out the train at the base of the slope is gone. Even if you wanted to take it back to Gear Station, you can't anymore.

[ She's letting Sigilyph out as soon as they leave the area, keeping the lantern outstretched to cast more light in front of them. ]

Well, guess we're stuck here until we accomplish either a rescue mission, a catching mission, or both.

[ She doesn't appear to be too dismayed. ]

Only one way forward then. Are you ready, Frillish?

[frillish gets let out as well, twirling with a little cry. it is SO ready.]

Just watch your footing here. I doubt either of us wants to carry the other over ice.

You walk over the empty train tracks towards the bridge across the river. Some Snorunt and Aipom are there, watching you go, but they aren't coming to attack you.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a good time.

[ She is also keeping an eye on the Aipom and Snorunt, but it's nice to not be aggro'd on sight. ]

[she's giving them a quick scan to see what in the world these Are, first-- but it doesn't seem like they're quite what they were looking for, and there's multiple, besides. best to leave these be.]

At least the wildlife isn't too interested in making our lives difficult.

On the other side of the bridge, you encounter a few Bibarel, but it's also easy to see the towering platform of ice. It's surrounded by several small pillars. The Bibarel also aren't attacking you, though they chatter at you a little.

So, if you know your destination is going past the ice platform, are you going to go as directly past the ice platform as possible, or will you veer to the left or the right?

[ Hm. Hmmmm. They have options. Kinda. ]

What do you think? Straight and narrow or a less simple direction?

If they were searching for supplies, then... I would expect them to go somewhat off the beaten path. Left, maybe.

Going left would curve along the path of the river. It looks clear as far as you can see from your current position.

Left it is!

[left they go! it's likely the snow has covered up things like prints, but she keeps an eye out regardless for any signs of life or people passing by.]

Can you see anything-? Hopefully they didn't manage to wander too far.
