Ha. I won't act like it doesn't have its benefits. . . . Thank you. I apologize for being short, but that move was quite painful.
[So yeah, he's thrilled to be able to heal himself and his Pokemon before moving on. He was going to use Rest if he had to, but that only works on himself, and it'll eat up time, too.]
He is mostly respectful as he applies the topical medicine. But juuuust enough not respectful to perhaps make you slightly uncomfortable.
"Things get more dangerous the higher up you get. Who knows what challenges are awaiting you in the ruins of the great Temple of Sinnoh... That's why I want to make sure you're being careful!"
[This guy. Is Saturn being hit on here or is this a power play or. He's not sure, but he decides to assume it's a power play, and he swipes off a stray little bit of the medicine off his shoulder and wipes it on Volo's cheek, extremely casually. He doesn't miss a beat in the conversation.]
Have you been yourself? When you say, who knows—do you, perhaps, know?
"Of course I've been up here before. An aficionado of ancient culture and legends wouldn't miss it! But something in the air up here feels a little different lately, these past few weeks. That's all I know for sure. If it's related to those objects you've been collecting—it's a thrilling prospect indeed!"
He wipes the medicine off of his own cheek without any comment, also not missing a beat.
"The inscriptions on them imply that they've been around since the very creation of this region—perhaps the creation of this entire world. I'm not sure any of us mere mortals can verify that claim without a doubt. But they have a mysterious power to them... Noble or legendary Pokemon will carry them and pass them on to worthy recipients. Including that lake trio you're so familiar with!"
At the peak of Mount Coronet, you appear at the ruins of a once-grand temple. Now having been recently destroyed, the broken pillars jut like spears into the sky. Rubble strewn across the ground resembles broken fragments of statues of Pokemon. But there is one single statue that has been miraculously spared—or is it rebuilt? It is an elegant stone statue of a Sneasler. (It matches the one on the Progressive Line platform.)
Instinctively, you realize... if you play an Azure Flute in this place, then your journey will enter the final stage. There will be no turning back after that.
[He's almost there . . . it's time. There's nothing Saturn wants more than to do what needs to be done for Ingo's sake. He takes the flute out . . .
Shit he doesn't know how to play a flute. Irida had played that song for him, right? She'd told him to heed the tune. He must need to do that now, but how . . . do you play a flute . . .
This is going to take a lot of trial and error, but, he'll manage something kinda close eventually.]
It's fine. Even though you psych yourself out about it, in the end, after your trial and error, it ends up sounding more beautiful than you would have been able to play on your own. Some other force helped complete the tune for you.
A shining, translucent staircase appears, that leads up into the sky.
Sharpedo nods and follows you up the long staircase!
You rise above the clouds towards the stars, as if walking on an aurora. The platform you eventually reach has strange shapes drawn across it, their meaning unknown to you.
The divine Pokemon, Arceus, is standing at the other end of this platform.
Saturn approaches, his footsteps slowing with awe. Even if this is Ingo's Palace Arceus, the effect is no less powerful. He doesn't balk, but he approaches with careful, respectful steps across the platform.]
Arceus speaks, seemingly understanding what you are thinking.
"Thou standest in the presence of the Original One. Though I am but a fragment, I am no imaginary figment. A piece that remains within a Sneasler, who remains within a human. The same way the stalwart guardian of willpower remains within thee. I have seen the determination with which thou hast progressed. Speak the goal thou intendest to achieve."
You are holding, suddenly, a golden glowing orb in your hands. If you are to throw it, another one will instantly form. Instinctively you understand that you should try to hit Arceus with these "balms".
"If thou canst overcome this trial, thy quest may receive my blessing."
For this sequence you will alternate between engaging directly with Arceus (no rolls, just vibes) and battling it with your Pokemon (using the rolls as established before). Three successful rolls will mean you have BESTED GOD and are free.
[What?! Why is God so weird? But all right. He knows what to do, so . . . it's time to dash towards Arceus and try to hurl this balm at him! Dammit, what if he made it this far and now he's going to need to be in better shape for this?!]

. . . It was someone else's doing. Part of a grand experiment. We're working to undo it. In the meantime, we get along well enough.

He reluctantly honors his promise, opening some potion jars.

[He smiles broadly, thinking a little about the fact that he won one of these by guessing whose nipple Ingo pierced.]
I'll have to make sure I live up to that expectation.

Saturn calls out Sharpedo to make the climb up the staircase. This is meant to be their adventure together!]

. . . I've come to help Ingo regain his lost memories. Whatever it takes, that's what I'm here to achieve.
