"How can you care for something that isn't in your mind at all? He remembers too little. So—why don't you help out a little more? Have a battle with me."
[ he quirks an eyebrow at that, but it's not like Lear's ever going to deny a battle. This is a perfectly reasonable way to ask for help in Pokemon culture. ]
Fine--I see no problems with that. Hit me with the best you have, then!
Sweet Munna's Psychic abilities are too strong for Emolga! Psychic lowers Emolga's special defenses. Even if Emolga gets a slight hit in, it barely does any damage, and Emolga succumbs to Psychic afterwards.
Elesa tilts her head in appraisal of Munna. "What a dazzling performance!"
But... then she strides over, across the catwalk, to lightly paff Lear on the head.
"You can have whatever opinion you want. All I'm asking is for you to not voice that opinion to his best friend who doesn't agree with that opinion. I think agreeing to something so simple is an easy enough request to follow, in exchange for the reward I'm about to give you."
Watch your mouth for five more minutes max, Lear! You can do it!
If this were pre-character development, he couldn't, but thankfully he has at least grown slightly as a person--so he just huffs out a sigh, crosses his arms, and... nods. ]
... Fine, if you're going to insist on it that intently.
You can go to Gear Station if you have any last words or explorations... But if you are initiating the endgame sequence immediately I can just do that in this thread. Either or.
Let's fast-forward through a bunch of copy-paste all at once!
So you go back to the ticket machine. If you click the prompt in the shop, you purchase the Azure Flute. Suddenly in your hands appears a strange instrument. A new message pops up on the ticket machine's screen, and as it does, the words are spoken in your head in an echoing voice:
Seek the Coronet's summit, closest to the gods, to conclude thy journey.
You see a strange symbol out of the corner of your eye, suddenly. It hovers in midair, moving as you move. It's... a quest marker. If you choose to focus on it, it stays in focus! But if you choose to ignore it, your awareness of it will fade away until you choose to focus on it again.
This quest marker leads to the Pearl Line. You step down the stairs, and see an old-fashioned, steam-powered train pulled up to the platform, ready for boarding. Only one car has doors open for you to enter. Thankfully, the fog is much less dense here. The train is similarly old-fashioned inside, but there are photographs framed lining the walls of the train car. The photos are washed-out, as if done with outdated technology, even though the scenes depicted are from dynamic angles that don't seem like they would be possible with old cameras. They depict many different people and Pokemon.
The scenes depicted in the pictures include: - A tall young man with long purple hair looking offended, another man by his side fighting off a headache. - A girl playing a flute on a snowy cliff's edge. - A shirtless man flexing in the snow. - An older woman feeding her Bibarel. - A Gligar in some ruins, looking down at a berry on the ground. - A young man smiling next to Ingo, looking down at the vast snowy landscape glowing in the sunrise, from atop a high ledge. - Sneasler climbing a sheer cliffside, a basket on her back. - An aloof girl with a Croagunk.
[ honestly? These are all fascinating pictures, despite himself--but he is especially intrigued by the Sneasler one. Honestly, all of these pictures are so wildly dated and interesting.
Ingo's life has really been a roller coaster, hasn't it?
Still, after giving each picture a cursory inspection, he'll take a seat in the train. ]
She was finicky and snappish, and caring for her required working at perilous heights. It was an open secret in the Pearl Clan that she would cycle through Wardens quickly, burning them out one after another. That's what made you such a lucky break for them. You had a talent for raising Pokemon, and for tolerating her difficulty with little offense. You don't have the most confidence in your connections, particularly in Hisui, but you know: she loves you, and you love her. You are like family now. She wouldn't easily accept another Warden even if you tried to leave her to someone else. Every day, you are grateful that you can share your mind with someone who cares for you.
The train eventually arrives at the Pearl Settlement. Your quest marker points towards one of the tent-like residences...

She guides you into the building, leading you up onto the runway. She turns to face you once she strides down most of the way.
"Here we are. No need to linger if you're ready for a challenge. Let's show him what we've got, Emolga!"
Emolga bursts out of the Pokeball!

[ this is Munna's show and we're all just here to enjoy it, honestly. ]
Let's get this over with so we can return Ingo to his usual annoying self.
[ /affectionate, probably. ]
Psychic!
[ 11 for sweet Munna! ]

"Don't call my friend annoying, though. Okay?"

I'll do as I please, thank you very much.
[ hmph!! ]
Besides--simply because he's annoying does not mean he is a bad person to be around.

She pulls out a plate and hands it over. The inscription reads: "The third being raged, raining down bolts of anger."
You have obtained a Zap Plate!

Anyway, he'll accept that with a quirked eyebrow and a nod. Now that he has three........well, he supposes he'll head back to the main station! ]
