It turns out that the last Pokemon was one raised for an easy scripted battle in the plot, and this one is used as an actual Battle Subway team member. Klinklang is raised with speed and attack in mind, and before Donphan can manage Bulldoze, Klinklang slams into him with a Giga Impact.
[ brutal. Lear deserves this, even if poor Donphan does not. He's startled, of course, letting out a surprised and embarrassing squawk despite himself, before he withdraws Donphan in favor of-- ]
Klinklang is still recovering from Giga Impact, so Krookodile has the advantage. But once it can move again, it's going to hit Krookodile with a Gear Grind!
You can see a Pokemon Center across the street from Gear Station—the bright roof is visible even through the fog. There are also more bridges up towards some even larger buildings.
[ oho... more pokemon to catch. After the embarrassment of the last fight, he is back to trying to be sneaky as he moves towards the corner to peer around it. ]

There are some towering stadiums you can make up even through the fog. Here, too, you can see movement around the buildings—but very high up, around the rooftops...
Staraptor can easily fly up towards the roof. Once there, the movements of this mystery Pokemon remain swift and elusive—but eventually, Staraptor's keen eyes can see it must be Accelgor!
[ Staraptor is... gonna try to chase it down towards a more reasonable Pokemon Battle-esque area, or at least enough so so that Lear can see what they're up against. ]
Unfortunately, the first thing Accelgor does after realizing he's in a bad position is to use Double Team and then Infestation. With this cheater strategy, he can continue to zip around and avoid some of the attacks, as Staraptor's HP is slowly drained!
...But he still gets hit anyway, more than once, and he can't stand up to Staraptor's advantage. The luck was on Staraptor's side.
It seems like there's a musical coming from within one of the buildings; the music is a little bit audible even from outside. As well as some loud banging and crashing from around the trash cans to the side. But that banging and crashing is... vaguely in time with the music?
