At the peak of Mount Coronet, you appear at the ruins of a once-grand temple. Now having been recently destroyed, the broken pillars jut like spears into the sky. Rubble strewn across the ground resembles broken fragments of statues of Pokemon. But there is one single statue that has been miraculously spared—or is it rebuilt? It is an elegant stone statue of a Sneasler.
Instinctively, you realize... if you play an Azure Flute in this place, then your journey will enter the final stage. There will be no turning back after that.
Ahh, now I see what she wants. I think that is doable.
[ There will be no turning back, but that's the point, isn't it? After considering for a moment, Emmet sucks in a bit of air and then lifts the Azure Flute, beginning to play it. ]
You rise above the clouds towards the stars, as if walking on an aurora. The platform you eventually reach has strange shapes drawn across it, their meaning unknown to you.
The divine Pokemon, Arceus, is standing at the other end of this platform.
"From within him, I have observed the dedication with which thou hast pursued this goal," says Arceus. "Dost thou desire this result? Shalt thou test thy determination?"
"Thou wilt not harm me in any meaningful sense. I am but a fragment. A piece that remains within a Sneasler, who remains within a human. So, go without restraint on the strength of thy dedication."
You are holding, suddenly, a golden glowing orb in your hands. If you are to throw it, another one will instantly form. Instinctively you understand that you should try to hit Arceus with these "balms".
"If thou canst overcome this trial, thy quest may receive my blessing."
For this sequence you will alternate between engaging directly with Arceus (no rolls, just vibes) and battling it with your Pokemon (using the rolls as established before). Three successful rolls will mean you have BESTED GOD and are free.
You were warned! This repeats a few times, but you manage to get in the rhythm of dodging and throwing. Eventually, Arceus seems dazed and tired from the repeated balms. Now would be the perfect opportunity to send out a Pokemon to fight!
Out comes Galvantula, ready to do his best. He probably doesn't have any real advantage over Arceus and he is, unfortunately, a glass cannon, but he's ready to do his part. ]
Do your best, Galvantula. Arceus's Judgement is always super-effective, so Galvantula takes decent damage. But a glass cannon is a glass cannon! The point is they get results! Arceus also seems to have taken a major blow.
That's why, for this next phase, it is bracing itself. A reddish circle appears on the ground below you. You might want to get out of the way of it.
[ Emmet stares at it with shock for a moment but fortunately, Conductor Joltik hops up onto his shoulder and gives his neck a little nip. He jumps back at that, keeping an eye on the circle as he prepares to throw a balm. ]
It looks like some kind of localized meteor shooting down at the circle. But Arceus remains still as he aims it, so once you're out of range, throwing a balm is easy. This, too, you can easily overcome, leading to the next phase of sending a Pokemon out to battle!
Eelektross has a MINUS 1!! So it's actually a 4!!!
Arceus performs some sort of utterly cheating maneuver of increasing gravity to press Eelektross down to the ground before rocking his world with a ground-type move. Here in Hisui we don't have Abilities, motherfucker!
You are going to have to try again with a different Pokemon to proceed.
There's a sound of cracking glass behind you. Joltik may see that there's a crack in the fabric of reality itself—and if something emerged from that crack, it would probably come straight towards you!
Arceus breaks out of the crack and charges towards where you were once standing, but now that you've moved, it's a sitting duck. You get off a good few throws. The time is now—the final roll to weaken Arceus!

A shining, translucent staircase appears, that leads up into the sky.

And then, he finally recalls Mamoswine and starts climbing up the staircase. here. we. go. ]

But Emmet steps forward, clenching a fist at his side loosely as he looks up. He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself before speaking. ]
I am Emmet. I want my brother back.

[ Which is to say, he immediately whips that balm at Arceus like it's a dodgeball. ]

Arceus rears up onto its hind legs, light gathering above it. Then, homing lasers shoot out, headed in your direction.

Emmet manages to dodge them — good thing Ingo told him to stay on his toes — and throws another balm at him. ]

Now, Arceus disappears entirely. Ominous... it doesn't seem like this is over...
